Sunday @ 2:00 pm very quick service Barley soup bowl $7 excellent because great flavor, and the veggies and mushrooms soft. On the menu no Dr Brown but yes they have it We split a tongue and corned beef sandwich. Very large and good. Root beer, fountain type, excellent. I'm from FL, here for a family event. I'll be back.

We are having lunch here. We were served by Lynn. She's amazing. The food is fantastic. We had corned beef and pastrami Reuben. They brought us a dish of pickles as I waited for the food. Yummmm We highly recommend it!

Fun to make a return visit to NYDN. Spouse & I shared a Grilled Pastrami Reuben (#13) and an order of onion rings. Of course, I had to have a Dr. Brown's Black Cherry Soda -- because it's in my history with NYDN. It was ALL wonderful. Great sandwiches, surprisingly good onion rings. Have to admit, we hadn't had great meals (or service) in recent years here. We had to give it a revisit. So glad we did. The ambiance is still more than a bit disjointed. That's not why we went. It was the sandwiches! Now we'll have to add onion rings to a regular order. So glad we did, and glad to say "We will be back!"

Haven't been to New York Deli News in years! Went to Santiago's not realizing they were closed on Sundays so we drove down the street looking for a breakfast place. Saw the New York Deli News marquis that said breakfast so we gave it a try. Took a while for someone to take our order but at least we had coffee. We almost left thinking we were forgotten. At the time we arrived, it was not busy. Glad we stayed and waited. The food was hot and tasty. I had the #1 which was eggs, bacon, potatoes and a bagel. My friend had the Deli Hash and it came with a bagel too. We both agreed that we'd come back again for breakfast to try some of the other dishes.

Denver has a bunch of delis, would be delis, pretend delis, sandwich shops that think they're delis, sort of Jewish delis, and the New York Deli News which is the closest thing we've got to a classic, New York City-style Jewish deli. It has been my favorite since they opened in 1989 and it is my favorite now. They hit all of my hot buttons: matzo ball soup, deli salads, chopped liver, a huge list of fantastic, overstuffed sandwiches (corned beef, pastrami, corned beef & pastrami!), blintzes, all day breakfast, and weekend brunch. The space was getting a little tired on my last visit several months ago, but I was surprised this visit with a fancy new sign, a new color scheme, new menus, a tidied up interior, and new systems, including very nice hand-held terminals for the servers. Everything ran very efficiently. I had my frequent order of blintzes on this visit. They were tasty, hot, and fresh. My friend had a very generously-sized cheese omelet which he enjoyed. I love the matzo ball (chicken) soup here. The matzo balls are always tender and the soup richly flavored. The sandwiches are great. You can't go wrong with any of them. This place hits the spot whether you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The New York Deli News is one of Denver's treasures. This is the place for the authentic New York deli experience. Accept no substitutes.

This deli is don't miss if you like East Coast deli food. Fanatic menu with all kinds of Jewish favorites from chopped liver to matzo ball soup. Wonderfull tasting corned beef and pastrami. I do wish there were equal amounts of both meats.in the combo sandwich. Great tasting rye bread. The large is almost impossible to eat for lunch. Great tasting pickle spears are included with your meal. I think they should drop the cole slaw in a plastic container when you eat it.
